Fed Scoop – The Department of Veterans Affairs has asked Congress for $4.9 billion for IT in fiscal 2021 — 12% more than the $4.3 billion enacted in fiscal 2020. The department’s leadership took to the Hill on Thursday to defend VA’s overall budget request for 2021, which would be the largest funding boost of any agency if the request released earlier in February is passed.
