Connecticut State Employee Disability Retirement
State of Connecticut employees may be eligible for a disability retirement. This may be service connected or non-service connected. This includes Connecticut probate employees.
Social Security Disability / SSI
Social Security pays benefits to people who can no longer work due to a disability. Both physical and mental conditions count.
Veterans / VA Disability
If you have a condition that began during service, or was aggravated by service, you may be eligible for monthly payments from the VA. If you have been denied, call us.
Municipal Disability Retirement
Municipal employees in Connecticut may qualify for disability retirement under various plans. Eligibility and terms are outlined in the applicable Summary Plan Description (SPD).
Teachers’ Disability Allowance
If you become disabled while actively teaching, you may be eligible to receive a monthly disability allowance. All claims are reviewed by the Medical Review Committee, which is a panel of qualified physicians.
Public Safety Officers' Benefits Program
A public safety officer may apply for Public Safety Officers' disability benefits after he or she is medically retired from service and is permanently and totally disabled as the direct and proximate result of a personal injury sustained in the line of duty.
