Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a prominent member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, was sworn into the Senate for a new term of office today after winning reelection last November. He will serve as the new Chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, replacing Patty Murray who has left to chair the Senate Budget Committee.
