VA.gov – On January 20, 2015, the Office of Inspector General received an anonymous allegation that staff at the Los Angeles VA Regional Office were shredding mail related to veterans’ disability compensation claims. In February 2015, an anonymous inspection at the Los Angeles VARO to asses the merits of the allegation was conducted.
