FEDweek – The VA’s reorganization of its Veterans Health Administration suffers from lack of guidance and controls and there is no plan in place to evaluate it once it is complete, GAO has reported. GAO was reviewing a reorganization, started in late 2015 and designed to be completed by the end of fiscal 2018, to reduce the number of Veterans Integrated Service Networks from 21 to 18 and reassign some VA medical centers to different VISNs.
