Stop by the Legislative Office Building on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 1:30 PM.

Currently, if you are denied Social Security disability benefits, Veteran’s disability benefits, or from your insurance company on your Long Term Disability plan you can have a judge review your denial. This is true for everyone except Connecticut State Employees. If you are a Connecticut state employee your claim will stop at the Medical Examining Board. If they incorrectly decide your claim there is no recourse in the court system. The Connecticut legislature has agreed to review the law. The meeting is today.
