Last month, NOVA demonstrated that it is the premier national advocacy group for veterans’ rights. In the case of National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates, Inc. v. Secretary of Veterans Affairs, NOVA has thus far been successfully defending a set of very important due process rights which the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) tried to abolish. After over a year of litigation, on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, NOVA helped compel VA to restore rights to veterans that had been removed.
