Not only was Roman Martinez presented with the Veterans Community Service Award by NOVA Vice President Mike Leonard during the gala award ceremony, he was also surprised to hear NOVA President Mike Viterna read aloud a letter of commendation written to him by Chief Justice Roberts, expressly for the occasion.
