Department of Veterans Affairs – As part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Accelerating Access to Care Initiative, the Phoenix VA Health Care System (VAHCS) has reached out to more than 5,000 Veterans to coordinate the acceleration of their care. “Between May 15 and July 1, more than 2,300 appointments have been scheduled in Phoenix,” said Acting Secretary Sloan D. Gibson. “We have made some solid progress but there is still much more work to be done.”
